Portillo is located 148 km / 92 mi from Santiago, in the same road that leads to Mendoza- Argentina, crossing the Andes Valley. The ski resort is one of the most famous and the only that has been host of the Ski World Cup in South America.
Portillo is unique because there is no town and only one hotel: the grand Hotel Portillo, which has 123 rooms. The rooms are simple and warm with view onto the mountain or lake.
