CHILLÁN:

Located 480 km / 298 miles south of Santiago and 82 km / 51 miles east of Chillán, this center has over 10.000 ha / 24.710 acres of skiable area, 28 trails of powder snow and 9 lift both chair and surface. The maximum skiable altitude is 2.700 m / 8.858 ft and you can practice some varieties to alpine skiing like Nordic or Randonnée (alpine touring). To these you can add the popular ones like snowboard, heliski and even ride a snowmobile or a dogsled. But what distinguishes this center from the rest? It uniquely combines a variety of skiing activities and attractions hard to find in a single place: Chillán has one of the biggest skiable domains in South America complemented with a Spa (Termas de Chillán = Chillán Hot Springs) that has contributed to his fame.

Restaurant Shangrilá (International food):

Another excellent lodging choice is Termas de Chillán's Pirimahuida Hotel, located just 7 km / 4,4 miles from the resort's ski slopes, in the captivating Las Trancas valley, with a spectacular view to the majestic Chillán Volcano and the surrounding mountains. The hotel features 26 comfortable rooms, each with telephone and TV, a restaurant, bar, inviting lounge area, daily shuttle service to and from the slopes (optional, extra), and ski-rental facilities.

4. Apartments in Termas de Chíllan
