The Lodge is located in the province of Valdivia and very close to the Argentine border of Hua Hum. Situated within the Huilo-Huilo National Reserve, this incredibly designed lodge welcomes the adventure seeking traveller and those who are looking for a tranquil setting alike. Its location is of strategic value for those travelers wanting to experience the beauty of the Chilean and the nearby Argentinean Lake District which can be reached easily by using a (car) ferry; lake crossing on nearby Lake Pirihueico.
An amazing waterfall is showering the lodge and blends in harmoniously with the various sounds of nature. The Lodge has been built using exclusively local wood and the cozy 9 superior rooms are decorated in a warm natural and pleasant mountain style. In addition to the hotel rooms the lodge offers 10 rustic log-cabins.
A professional dedicated team is looking after guests with an eye for the detail. The cozy restaurant prepares fresh local specialties and serves Chile’s finest wines. An audio-visual equipped homely bar is another place to relax after a day filled with outdoor activities. Guests can take pleasure in the natural tree trunk hot tubs and enjoy an excellent glass of Pisco Sour in this very particular setting. An attractive mini-golf court is another favourite past-time.

The scenery of valleys, mountain slopes, nearby volcanoes and the evergreen Valdivian rainforest is part of an amazingly intact ecosystem hosting a great variety of wildlife. The pristine waters of its rivers and lakes make the Huilo-Huilo Reserve a privileged place for those looking for an intense contact with nature. At Montaña Mágica Lodge you can enjoy one of the Chilean Lake District’s best hidden treasures.
Activities at and near Montaña Mágica Lodge include: hiking, trekking, horseback-riding, canopy, river rafting and mountain biking among others. Adjacent to the lodge the new Bao Bab Hotel will be inaugurated in December 2007. This hotel will also impress for its unique and creative architecture, since it is built completely in the shape of a tea cup with live native trees sticking out of the cup. Other projects are being currently discussed for this area.
