MV Cahuella
Cruising onboard Cahuella
gives you the opportunity to
experience the natural beauty
and the cultural history of the
Islands of Chiloé. Cahuella is a
comfortable 50 ft / 15 m wooden
motor cruiser featuring 4
berth cabins, a spacious living
area, an excellent chef, a bilingual
guide, and a zodiac boat
to go ashore.
Day 1: Puerto Montt/Puerto
Varas - Island of Chiloé
Transfer from Puerto Montt or Puerto
Varas to Chiloé Grande. Visit to
the city of Ancud with tea and
kuchen, afterwards tour to the
penguin colony of Puñihuíl; dinner
in a private farm house and
overnight on the Cahuella. (L,D)
Day 2: Chiloé by sea
Breakfast on the Cahuella in
Quemchi; sail of the Chiloé
Archipelago and berth in the
Me-chuque Island Bay to see traditional
houses on stilts (palafitos).
Taste the national drink Pisco
Sour before dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Archipelago
Breakfast and cruise to visit
world-famous old wooden
churches and to take short
walks. In the afternoon we will
cruise to a remote outer island to
prepare for our early crossing of
the gulf the next day. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Pumalín Park
Early in the morning we will
depart to the Cahuelmó Fjord,
deep in the heart of the Pumalín
Park; a short walk through the
rainforest to a waterfall will be
included. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Hidden Hot Springs
We will take short walks to visit
some of the settlements along the
Comáo Fjord. In the afternoon
we will hike into the forest for a
natural mineral bath. (B,L,D)
Day 6: Hornopirén - Puerto
Montt/Puerto Varas
Cruise up the Cholgo Channel to
Hornopirén. We will finish our
Patagonian cruise at the docks;
farewell lunch and return to Puerto
Montt or Puerto Varas. (B, L)
