Day 1: Temuco -
Malalcahuello
You will be picked up at the airport
and transferred to the Suizandina
guest house in Malalcahuello.
After a short visit to the
Salto de la Princesa waterfall you
will arrive at the guest house,
where a welcome drink awaits
you. You can relax on the grounds
or take a walk on the property's
nature trail. Dinner and overnight
at the Suizandina. (L,D)
Day 2: Lonquimay Volcano
By vehicle you will be transferred
to the base of the Lonquimay Volcano
at 1,600 m / 5,250 ft, located
in the Malacahuello and Nalca
National Reserve. From here
you will hike up to the peak at
2890 m / 9482 ft above sea level.
Enjoy views of the glacier and
the 14 volcanoes in a 500 km /
311 mi radius north and south of
the Lonquimay. Return to the Suizandina,
dinner and overnight. (B,

Day 3: Conguillío
National Park
After the physically demanding
hike of Day 2, you will be able to
relax today and enjoy a drive
through one of the best preserved
national parks in Chile. You will
first visit the Salto del Indio waterfall
and pass through Curacautín,
before eventually entering the
national park from the north. Your
guide will accompany you and
lead you on several stops along
the way through magnificent
forests to lagoons like the Lago
Conguillío or the Lago Verde.
After a 3-hour drive we will arrive
at our accommodation for the next
2 nights, the Cabañas Vista Hermosa;
beautifully located in the
southern part of the park. You will
have lunch there before an easy
horseback ride takes you through
the pristine forests of the park. Dinner
and overnight at the Cabañas

Day 4: Llaima Volcano
With its 3125 m / 10.253 ft, the
Llaima Volcano is one of the highest
peaks in southern Chile. Its two
craters certainly are an unusual
feature for a volcano; what is
more, it is one of the most active
volcanoes on the American continent.

All equipment necessary for
the ascension will be provided, as
well as appropriate food, and an
expert guide will lead the way.
Beautiful views and magnificent
landscapes await you. Dinner and
overnight at the Cabañas Vista

Day 5: EcoCamp Nevados
de Sollipulli
Today you will drive up to the
unique EcoCamp that is beautifully
located in a remote spot of the
Hualalafquen National Reserve.
You will exchange the mini bus for
a 4 x 4 vehicle in Caren Bajo and
follow the "Route of the Falls" up
to the camp. After arrival and
lunch, you will be guided on a 4-
hour walk on the slopes of the
nearby mountains. Dinner and
overnight at the Eco Camp. (B,L,D)
Day 6: Ascension of the
Sollipulli Glacier
After breakfast you will start your
hike up to the extinguished Sollipulli
Volcano that is covered with a
6 x 4 km / 4 x 2.5 mi glacier that
you will be able to walk on. The
path up will initially lead you
through a forest of Coigues, Ñirres,
and Lengas, it will later
change into a fantastic Monkey
Puzzle tree wood. From the mountain
top you will see all the nearby
volcanoes, lakes, and maybe a
majestic condor will pass flying
overhead. Return to the EcoCamp,
dinner and overnight. (B,BL,D)
Day 7: Canyoning
Queipude River - Temuco
A rather unusual and exciting
activity awaits you after breakfast
and transfer to the Queipude River.
For 7 hours you will walk
along this river amidst steep rock
faces to geothermal hot springs;
you will be able to swim in the
thermal waters of the natural pools
and relax while looking out for
condors. Your canyoning tour
ends here and a transfer will take
you to Temuco. Dinner and overnight
at the Hotel Bayern. (B,BL,D)
Day 8: Temuco
After breakfast your guide will
drop you off at the airport to
board your connecting flight. (B)
